Smith & Nephew ACTICOAT 3 Day Dressing (with SILCRYST™ nanocrystals) is an easy-to-use, low adherent, effective antimicrobial barrier dressing. Suitable for partial and full-thickness wounds such as: first and second degree burns and donor and recipient graft sites, pressure ulcers, venous ulcers, and diabetic ulcers.
Features and Benefits
ACTICOAT dressing consists of three layers: an absorbent inner core between outer layers of silver coated, low adherent polyethylene net. Nanocrystalline silver protects the wound site from bacterial contamination while the inner core helps maintain the moist environment optimal for wound healing.
Smith and Nephew's ACTICOAT Barrier dressing is fast-acting with it's nanocrystalline coating of silver rapidly kills a broad spectrum of bacteria in as little as 30 minutes. ACTICOAT is an effective barrier for over 150 pathogens and remains effective for up to 3 days, increasing convenience for patient and caregiver.
