Pajunk Multistim Sensor with Patient Cable and PEG Electrode

With the introduction of the MultiStim SENSOR, PAJUNK® configures a foundation for a new generation of nerve stimulators for regional anesthesia. The device offers a multitude of functions for more safety and efficiency in
plexus anesthesia. The essential difference to common stimulating devices is the following:

The MultiStim SENSOR supports a patient friendly and percutaneous localisation and identification of nerves with the help of a stimulating handle, the PEG-electrode (Percutaneous Electrode Guidance). Only then the cannula is fed into the puncture area (which was identified by utilizing the method mentioned above) and
the stimulation is switched by the push of a button from the stimulating handle to the cannula.

Stimulating Voltage
The actual stimulating electrical current stream through the patient is constantly measured and displayed in numerical as well as analogical form, showing up in form of beams on the display. The electrical current is also compared constantly and displayed optically or acoustically in case that the actual streaming current differs
from the set current strength.

Pause
By activating the Pause button, the stimulation may be interrupted. That way, changes on all
stimulating parameters without impulse output may be constantly compared and displayed optically or acoustically, if the actual streaming electrical current differs from the preset electrical current

Adjustable Stimulating Impulse Width
The stimulating impulse width is easily and quickly adjustable through an own key, in multiple steps – from 0.05 ms over 0.1 ms, 0.2ms,0.3 ms, 0.5 ms to 1.0 ms for example for the selective stimulation of sensory and motor nerve fibers in composite nerves.

SETUP
The device has a setup-function. By using the setup function you as the user may program your individual starting parameters for the percutane and invasive uses.

Optional Nerve-Location via Handle
While with conventional stimulating devices the puncture spot is determined through the anatomic map, with the MultiStim SENSOR, there is the option of locating the puncture spot via the PEG-electrode. With this method, a nerve is stimulated through the skin and, if successful,a reflex is initiated without a puncture required. The cannula is then inserted into the located puncture spot and the stimulating electrical current is converted by the push of a button onto the cannula. The cannula is then placed per common technique.

PEG and Cannula Pushbutton*
By activating either the PEG or the cannula pushbuttons, the stimulation may be switched –according to requirements – onto the handle or the cannula, respectively. Each active electrode is displayed through the adequate status display. The stimulating electrical current frequency and impulse width are adjustable separately for the two exits. (If the PEG-handle is not connected, this pushbutton has no function)
