BD Vacutainer™ Glass ACD Solution Tube with Yellow Closure
Used to obtain a whole blood or a plasma sample. BD Vacutainer™ Glass ACD Solution Tube with Yellow Closure contains the active anticoagulant Tri-sodium Citrate with Citric Acid and Dextrose. Two formulations of the ACD solution are available.
BD Vacutainer™ ACD tubes are available in glass only and are identifiable by a yellow cap (Hemogard™ or conventional). They contain the active anticoagulant Tri-sodium Citrate with Citric Acid and Dextrose in one of two formulations. The concentration of additives in each solution is as follows:
- ACD Solution A (conventional closure)-366645
- Sodium citrate: 22.0g/L
- Dextrose: 24.5g/L
- Citric acid: 8.0g/L
- Antimycotic (K sorbate) reagent: 0.15g/L
- ACD Solution B (Hemogard™ closure)-367756
- Sodium citrate: 13.2g/L
- Dextrose: 14.7g/L
- Citric acid: 4.8g/L
- Antimycotic (K sorbate) reagent: 0.2g/L
