BD Microtainer® Quikheel™ Lancet
The safety-engineered BD Microtainer® Quikheel™ Lancet is commonly used for taking capillary blood samples from the heels of premature, new-born babies and infants.
Its simple one-handed activation releases a stainless steel blade to provide a precise and consistent incision, after which the blade retracts into its casing, helping protect you and the patients in your care.
The ergonomic design enables it to be held securely.
The tapered window helps clearly view the point of incision and prevents cutting in the same place.
When the button is pressed, an extra-thin steel blade provides a fine,clean, surgical cut and ensures a good flow of blood. The penetration depth is pre-determined to protect against bone infections and cannot be altered.
The lancets are sterile and individually packed in blister packaging.
Two sizes - Infant and Preemie - are available, and are colour coded for easy selection with the specifications below
